Lightsabers are among the most iconic weapons to ever enter the popular imagination. For the next generation of Star Wars experiences to exist believably in the real world, lightsabers absolutely had to be part of the vocabulary. Michael led a team to develop and deliver the first proof of concept for a REAL WORLD LIGHTSABER SYSTEM that would be bright and durable enough for use in  INDOOR AND OUTDOOR LIVE ENTERTAINMENT applications, including stage shows, character meet-and-greets, and special events. This was an exercise in wish-fulfillment; when guests see a lightsaber on stage, it had to fully deliver on the promise of the films.
